LAST_7_DAYS IN PPC

Reading Time: 3 minutes

👩‍💻 🤘 🔔 PPC news and articles from the last 7 days: conversion capacity ppc script, dataset search from google, no ‘ads’ for flight searches, push notifications murder and more.

CONVERSION CAPACITY PPC SCRIPT

Stop campaigns when you’ve hit conversion capacity with this line of script “var_CONVERSION_LIMIT_INCLUSIVE = # ” and get notified by email when this happens.

A very cool script from BrainLabs!

see instruction on how to apply it on SearchEngineLand

Dataset search is out of beta.

try it yourself

Across the web, there are millions of datasets about nearly any subject that interests you. Research helper Dataset Search has indexed almost 25 million of datasets, giving you a single place to search for datasets and find links to where the data is.

! it’s language sensitive

Usage for PPC:

  • research about topic you’re not strong in
  • data support for your ideas (or not 😀 )
  • inspiration for ad copies as “2 in 3 people do … “

NO ‘AD’ FOR FLIGHT SEARCHES

Google says that this month it will “no longer charge partners for referral links on Google Flights.” As a result, the company is removing the “ads” and “sponsored” labels from Google Flights and the flights unit in Google search results.

GOODBYE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

Feb 4th is the deadlines some marketologist wait curiously as new Google Chrome update might “kill” push notifications.

What will change:

It will not affect everyone but mostly a) when a user blocks all other push notifications b) when a website has a low ‘acceptance’ rate.

Expectations:

  • slightly higher conversion rate and lower bounce rate as people will be less pissed off with your website
  • high prices per push leads
  • loss in push leads traffic but those signed up will be of higher quality

END TO MESSAGE EXTENSIONS

Switch to lead ads or call extensions because in just few days message extensions will be terminated.
